Though parcipation in the ﬁrst edition is strictly by invitation. In this regard, several countries and legends were shortlisted, but the following countries and Legends have been invited based on:
1. World Cup appearance or FIFA recognition
2. Nations Cup or CAF Medals
3. 40 – 55 years
4. 5 years or more in retirement
*Each of the 8 Countries is expected to attend the event with a nominated goalkeeper from the country.
*Note: Nominated goalkeepers must be currently active within the country of origin
Kalusha Bwalya is a former international footballer. Kalusha was named African Footballer of the Year in 1988 by the magazine France Football and was nominated for the 1996 FIFA World Player of the Year where he was voted the 12th-best player in the world. Kalusha is considered one of the greatest players in Zambian football history.
Aboubacar Sidiki “Ti” Camara (born 17 November 1972) is a Guinean former professional footballer who played as a striker. He was also the coach of the Guinean national team, which he captained and played for. He served as the Guinea sports minister, before being replaced in October 2012. He is best known for his stint with Liverpool in the 1999–2000 season, where he scored 10 goals in 37 games in all competitions, memorably scoring the winner in a game against Arsenal at Highbury.
